Where the service is offered
Setout Pro is intended for distribution internationally. Our initial advertising is focused on the United Kingdom. We do not represent that every feature, price, tax treatment or legal requirement is available or satisfied in every country. Check the requirements that apply to your business and location.
Who we are

Your customers’ information
When you record a customer’s name, address, photographs of their property or the measurements of their rooms, you are the controller of that information and we process it on your behalf, under your instructions. You decide what to collect, what to keep and when to delete it.
We do not contact your customers directly. You decide how and when to share quotes or invoices with them, and we never market to them.
What we collect
- Your account — name, email address, password stored only as a hash, and your organisation’s name.
- Your work — projects, floor plans, measurements, photographs, rate books, quotes and invoices.
- Your customers’ details — as you enter them: name, contact details and site address.
- Your subscription — the store, product, access status, renewal state and expiry date. We do not receive or store your payment-card number.
- Technical records — sign-in times and device capability, including whether your phone has a depth camera.
We do not collect location in the background, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell anything to anybody.
Photographs and AI-generated images
Setout Pro can show a customer what finished work might look like. When you choose to generate one of these images, the photograph you selected is sent to OpenAI, which returns an edited version. This happens only when you ask for it — no photograph leaves the app otherwise. Generated images are marked as such, remain reviewable, and are held for review before anyone outside your organisation can see them.
If a photograph shows a customer’s property or somebody else’s home, you must have the customer’s or property occupant’s permission, and the right to instruct us to process the photograph, before you generate an image from it. Do not send photographs you are not authorised to use.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- Contract — we cannot provide the service without your account and your work.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure, diagnosing faults and preventing abuse.
- Legal obligation — invoices and their supporting records must be retained for tax purposes.

Each provider is used for the purpose shown. Provider locations can mean that information is processed outside the country where you live. We do not claim that one arrangement covers every country’s requirements. Contact privacy@setoutpro.com if you need details about a particular transfer or provider.
Apple or Google processes the purchase and payment under its own store terms and privacy policy. RevenueCat tells Setout Pro whether the workspace has an active entitlement. We receive purchase status and product information, not your full card or bank details.
How long we keep it
Your work stays until you delete it or close your account. Deleting your account removes your projects, plans, photographs and customer records. Invoices and the records supporting them are retained for six years because tax law requires it.
We do not promise a fixed retention period for technical records. We keep them only for as long as needed for the purpose for which they were collected and any applicable legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. The app can export your data and delete your account without contacting us first. If you would rather ask, write to privacy@setoutpro.com and we will answer within one month.
If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. The database refuses unencrypted connections. Files are stored privately and reached only through short-lived links. Passwords are hashed and never recoverable, by us or by anyone.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
